Mike Fazio
Is the current Associate Director of Player Enhancement for the Chicago Steel. In his role with the Steel, he runs weekly skill sessions with the players, provides individual game breakdowns and gives on ice video feedback for rep to rep coaching during practices.
Prior to his role with the Steel, he was the lead instructor for MAP Hockey in Minnesota. Fazio also helps the Steel with recruiting and knows first hand what it takes to be an elite level player and the demands that go with the sport.
He played forward at University of Wisconsin - River Falls for 4 years and earned a degree in Exercise and Sport Science. After graduating he spent two seasons playing minor professional in the SPHL and ECHL, and began coaching full time in the 2019-20 season.
Is the current Associate Head Coach for the Chicago Steel. Prior to joining the Steel, Deschamps spent three years in Canton, N.Y., working for St. Lawrence University (D1-ECAC) as an Assistant Ice Hockey Coach. Prior to SLU, Matt lived in Salzburg, Austria and worked for EC Red Bull Salzburg (RBS) Hockey Club as the head coach of the RBS U18 team.
The former defenseman played college hockey at the University of Maine, appearing in 111 games for the Black Bears over four seasons from 2001 to 2005 and played hockey professionally for five seasons with games split between the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League.
Matt Deschamps
Musser is currently still working in hockey as a scout. Before moving into scouting full time, Musser spent 2 years with the Chicago Steel as the Assistant General Manager and Skills Coach.
Previously he spent time as a scout for the Sioux City Musketeers (USHL) and then for the U.S. National Team Development Program. Musser played 4 years at Adrian College, and went on to earn a Masters in Sport Administration from Canisus College. He also served as the Team Manager for the NCAA Mens Hockey Team while working towards his Masters.
